[01 Jun 2006|06:19pm] Mum and Dad had their offer accepted to buy a holiday cottage in Wales! So it's ours in a few weeks. It's in a tiny "hamlet" called Pandy, which is a weird name. Apparently people add a bit to the P so it says Randy all the time, hmm. Here it is anyway, it's tiny tiny tiny with one normal sized bedroom and one like a broom cupboard. But it has its own river/brook type thing. Outside Living Room with beams Normal sized bedroom It's got a big sort of decking/balcony area in the back garden for a dining table etc, that looks over the river And this is a sort of separate room next to the river 6 comments|post comment

And I made another room for the game I'm doing Also, I got a job at Selfridges in Manchester on the skincare/cosmetics bit. My badge arrived in the post, with my name on.. how exciting! [23 Feb 2006|01:46am] Today my friend Danielle came to Leeds and we were supposed to go ice skating, but it rained, so we went to Red Chilli for delicious Chinese tea and aubergines and then to the Leeds Valentines fair, which I must say, is the biggest and best fair I have ever seen. It was ruined by the freezing weather though, I forgot I had toes... we went on the ghost train and a boy in a wig jumped out and poked our faces, and we screamed like mad for the whole ride. I bought a giant lollypop and sweetie necklaces too. Then we went on the Waltzers, and well, basically I've been having loads of trouble recently with my jaw locking and stuff, and we got spun round really fast and my jaw locked half open like :o and I couldn't open or close it anymore... so we just went on the "Magic Mouse" roller coaster and then came back. It was a really nice day but I wanted to go on the big scary rides because I am quite brave! I was really disappointed about my jaw. I bought a sugar cookie making set from Harvey Nichols with a heart-shaped cutter but forgot I didn't have a rolling pin... so I made a cake with sprinkles on instead. That reminds me of that episode of Sabrina with the truth sprinkles... these were just normal ones though. So perhaps this whole entry is a lie? It's not. Here's the cake, me and Kev have eaten most of it already because it is quite delicious. I have also made Key Lime Pie, banana bread and lots of crumbles lately. I am going to get quite tubby if I carry on. it doesn't look anything special but it is! i promise. 3 comments|post comment

I went to the Flog It valuation day today, I am not on television but we got our antiques valued and it was really nice, and we still got to meet one of the experts. Our things weren't worth that much, but it was all plenty of fun. Next stop: Bargain Hunt and Jeremy Kyle. One of the experts used the f-word. Very loudly! [20 Jan 2006|12:28pm] i got these little fellas today from a charity shop well worth 50p each i think. i went food shopping and bought millions of vegetables and not much else. what can i make with lots of vegetables? i have been inspired by dr.gillian mckeith, from you are what you eat. i think i will make soup..... i haven't updated for ages, so... i am back in leeds, it's good, my course starts again on monday and i have to make animations which is tragic. i have the weirdest sleeping patterns at the moment, loads of naps, and i didn't sleep for one minute last night, i still haven't been to bed. aanyway, i feel better now that i have updated as i hadn't updated for about 5 weeks, which is ages.... bonvoyage 6 comments|post comment

harry potter geek [19 Nov 2005|07:27pm] dear harry potter 4 director, where was winky the house elf? where was sirius in his cave with buckbeak? why was the yule ball when it was? why did hermione say that viktor krum annoyed her? why didn't you explain that barty crouch stole harry's wand at the world cup and placed it on his house-elf? where was the hogwarts kitchen with the pear that you tickle on the painting to get in? why didn't hagrid ask madame maxine if she was half-giant, and why didn't she get angry? where were the veela? and the wronski feint? where were the actual monsters and tasks in the maze? why didn't you show cornelius fudge getting angry at the end when everyone said voldemort was back? why weren't the triwizard winnings mentioned? and why didn't harry give them to fred and george to start their joke shop? all this makes me angry because i am unfortunately geeky about harry potter 1 comment|post comment
